This is not an exhaustive list but if you heed these you’ll have less chance of your claim being rejected:
DO answer all the questions fully and correctly – this simple error could be costly
DON’T misrepresent your Business Trade
DO declare any claims (or incidences) you’ve had in the last 5 years
DON’T forget that anyone ‘working’ for you, directly or indirectly, should be covered under your Employers Liability Insurance
DO familiarise yourself with the Conditions and Exclusions of your policy
DON’T be shy of asking your insurance provider to explain anything you don’t understand. Assumptions are a recipe for disaster. And we’re always here to help
DO adhere to Health & Safety Regulations. Not doing so could invalidate your insurance policy.
DON’T just go for the cheapest – buy insurance you need!
