Titan Construction Insurance is joining calls for the Government to take action and begin major building projects across the country.
This will boost the economy, help save jobs, generate further employment and kick-start a flagging industrial sector says Titan. The construction sector has been one of the hardest hit during the downturn since 2008, but it offers one of the best ways of stimulating the economy, believes Titan.
Frustratingly for many in the sector, the Government has been repeatedly talking about funding major construction projects, yet nothing has yet transpired. And with the long lag between planning a project and starting work, the worry is now that by the time the ideas get approved, it will be too late.
Many jobs and skill sets are being lost in the sector right now, and if nothing is done to stop this says Titan, the results could be catastrophic.
Chief Executive Officer of Titan Construction Insurance, Basil Tsapralis, said:
“Some years ago now the Government mooted the possibility of creating super construction projects which could be funded in such a way as to prevent reversing key austerity measures.
“This was met with great enthusiasm by people in the sector, yet some years on, there is no sign that this talk will come to anything meaningful. It’s a simple fact that the Government has to act now and decisively, if we are to avoid the collapse of one of Britain’s key industrial sectors.”
Titan Construction Insurance is one of the biggest players in the market and has a reputation for not only providing very competitive prices, but also for high levels of customer service.
